Santas 2014
Every year, Santa remembers hundreds of thousands of children across the world.
That is wonderful! I also believe that too many of our senior citizens are forgotten year round but especially at Christmas.
Once again, I am gearing up for our program promptly named, Santas for Peterborough Seniors.
Throughout the month of November and December, we will try to fill as many gift requests as possible. 2013 saw 351 seniors receive a gift who otherwise would not have received anything.
If you are aware of a senior who has outlived friends and family and will not be receiving a gift from another source, please contact us with that name and we'll do our Christmas best to make sure their request is fulfilled.
Keep checking back as we update our blog often.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

Ptbo Seniors 2013 Launch
With Christmas less than 2 months away, it's that time of year again
We have contacted the nursing homes, retirement homes and everyone that contributed names of local seniors that will go without a Christmas gift.
2012 saw over 300 local seniors enjoy Christmas morning with a smile and a gift to open thanks to our Peterborough Community and local businesses.
We have permission to put up Christmas trees in the following locations:
- At our local police station
- Master Opticians
- Burger Works
- The Old Colonial Weavers Building
- Peterborough Realty Inc. Brokerage
We have been contacted by a number of local companies looking to assist with gift buying and Brinks Canada have offered to help deliver again this year.
Christmas isn't just for kids. Let's make 2013 a wonderful year for everyone.
